AZDye™ 488 Hydrazide is a bright, green-fluorescent dye that often used for labeling aldehydes or ketones in polysaccharides or glycoproteins. AZDye™ 488 Hydrazide is useful as low molecular weight, membrane-impermeant, aldehyde-fixable cell tracers, exhibiting brighter fluorescence and greater photostability than cell tracers derived from other spectrally similar fluorophores.
AZDye™ 488 is a bright, highly photostable, green-fluorescent probe optimally excited by the 488 nm laser line. This probe is water-soluble and its fluorescence is pH independent over a wide pH range. The brightness and photostability of AZDye™ 488 dyes are best suited to direct imaging of low-abundance targets.
